1. Purpose

The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to inform visitors of the website https://groupp.app (the “Website”) about how Groupp Europe SA collects, uses and protects their personal data, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the “GDPR”) and the Belgian Act of 30 July 2018 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data.

This Privacy Policy covers only the data processed in connection with use of the Website. The processing of data of users of the Groupp mobile application is governed by a separate privacy policy, available at https://legal.groupp.app/FR/confidentialite.html.

3. Data collected and purposes

3.1 Contact form

When a visitor uses the Website's contact form, Groupp collects: first name, last name, email address, city, country, and the message written by the visitor.

Purpose: responding to the visitor's request.

Legal basis: Groupp's legitimate interest in responding to requests addressed to it (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

3.2 Cookies and browsing data

The Website uses cookies and similar technologies. Details of the cookies used, their purposes, and the choices available to the visitor are described in the Website's Cookie Policy.

3.3 Event Photographs and Videos (upcoming feature)

When Groupp organizes or promotes Events, photographs and/or videos may be taken and published on the Website (in particular in dedicated albums), as well as on Groupp's social media and communication channels.

Purpose: communication and promotion of Groupp's activities.

Legal basis:

  • for ambiance or group shots in which no person is individually identifiable or featured: Groupp's legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR);
  • for individualized portraits prominently featuring an identifiable person: consent of the person concerned (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

Participants are informed of this filming/photography before the event and in the Specific Participation Terms applicable to each event. Any person may:

  • notify Groupp before or during the event that they do not wish to appear in the photographs or videos intended for publication;
  • request, after publication, the removal of a photograph or video featuring them, by contacting Groupp at [email protected]. Groupp will review such requests as promptly as possible.

5. Recipients of the data

The data collected is intended for authorized Groupp staff, as well as the following processors acting on Groupp's behalf:

  • Hetzner Online GmbH (website hosting) – Germany (EU)
  • Brevo (sending emails from the contact form via the FluentForm plugin) – France (EU)

As of the date of this Policy, Groupp does not use any audience measurement or statistics tool on the Website.

Groupp does not sell or rent visitors' personal data to third parties.

6. Transfers outside the European Union

Data of Website visitors is hosted and processed within the European Union (Germany). As of the date of this Policy, Groupp does not use any tool involving a transfer of data outside the European Union. Should such a tool be introduced (for example, an audience measurement tool), this Privacy Policy would be updated accordingly to specify the applicable safeguards (European Commission standard contractual clauses or another equivalent mechanism).

7. Security

Groupp implements reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect visitors' personal data against loss, unauthorized access, disclosure, or destruction. As no method of electronic transmission or storage is entirely secure, Groupp cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Rights of data subjects

In accordance with the GDPR, every visitor has the following rights regarding their personal data:

  • Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR): to obtain confirmation that data concerning them is being processed, and to access it;
  • Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR): to have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected;
  • Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR): to request deletion of their data, subject to certain conditions;
  • Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR);
  • Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR), in particular for processing based on legitimate interest;
  • Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR), for data processed on the basis of consent or a contract;
  • Right to withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before such withdrawal.

9. Age restriction

The Website itself is not subject to any age restriction: it is limited to presenting the Application, its news, and offering a contact form, without account creation or the collection of sensitive data. Age verification of users is carried out at the level of the Groupp application itself, whose Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy (available at https://legal.groupp.app/FR/) provide for the appropriate measures in this regard.

10. Amendments to this Privacy Policy

Groupp reserves the right to amend this Privacy Policy at any time, in particular to reflect changes to the Website or to applicable regulations. The version in force is the one published on the Website on the date of consultation.
